Dozens of Redditch people have posed in a campaign to 'Get Serious about CO2'.
Find out how you too can tackle the causes of climate change in Worcestershire.
Many parts of the world suffer floods and droughts caused by climate change. Thousands of the poorest people are already affected, soon this could be millions.
We need to tackle climate change now if we are to prevent climate chaos in the future.
Friends of the Earth were recently joined by over 200,000 people to encourage the UK Government to cut CO2 by 80% by the year 2050. Guess what? We got that target!
We now need a serious commitment from Worcestershire County Council to at least 40% cuts in carbon emissions in our local area by 2020.
Tackling climate change locally will create thousands of 'green jobs' across Worcestershire. Investing in efficiency will help us slash our energy bills. By becoming low-carbon communities we can boost our local economy and become more resilient.

Already hundreds of people are urging our county council to 'Get Serious about CO2'. Take action online and upload your most serious face at:

The UK adopted a law to tackle climate change in October 2008. This short movie shows how Friends of the Earth did it and thanks everyone who helped.

We are a local group of volunteers taking action on environmental and social justice issues.
Since 2001 we have worked to make the planet a better place for people.

We are one of over 250 Friends of the Earth local groups in the UK trying to make a difference to communities affected by environmental issues.
Our message is simple: "Think Global, Act Local"

There is a role for everyone:
Some people prefer to be 'armchair supporters', others are campaigners on the 'front line'. You may want to help organise a fundraising pub-quiz or perhaps you want help reducing your workplace's carbon footprint.
