With growing concerns over what we eat, farmers' markets provide an opportunity to find out how your food was produced.

Buying from local farmers also helps to keep profits within the local economy rather than passing them onto supermarket shareholders.

All products at farmers' markets are "local". This limits the distance that food is transported, a contributing factor in the causes of climate change.

You can also help reduce the unnecessary packaging of products, get fresh healthy food and keep alive local distinctiveness in the region.
